Times staff writer Kris Hundley spent three weeks this fall in India on a World Affairs Journalism Fellowship administered by the International Center for Journalists. The fellowship is sponsored by the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation. Hundley was one of eight journalists from around the country to be awarded a 2008 World Affairs Fellowship. Her proposal to research drug testing in India stemmed from several stories she wrote on U.S. clinical trials in the St. Petersburg Times in 2007.
