Research administrators work to expand the quality and quantity of research in an ethical and fiscally responsible manner. They also improved the advanced education of students, contribute to the development of programmatic capacities, and add value to higher education or the research organizations that they represent. Their function is to be professionally astute, knowledgeable of as much of the grants process as possible, and capable of learning on a daily basis through interactions with colleagues, faculty, external parties, sponsors, and students.
